neurotoxins, botox, xeomin

How Long Can I Expect Xeomin® Or Botox® To Work?

From forehead wrinkles to vertical lines, our facial expressions can take a toll on our appearance over time. Aesthetic injections, such as Xeomin® and Botox®, can help, but how long do they last?

The answer: it depends. Everyone’s face is different, and not everyone reacts to each neurotoxin the same way. However, a good rule of thumb is that wrinkle-relaxing injections tend to last between three and six months.

Xeomin® Lasts Up To Six Months

At KLS Aesthetics, we’ve recently added Xeomin® to our lineup of professional-grade injectable products. Why? Because we believe in the product, and we want only the best skin care options for our clients. Xeomin® is a smart toxin that has been double-filtered to remove unnecessary proteins. Your face gets exactly what it needs to smooth wrinkles and frown lines. Nothing more, nothing less. The best part about Xeomin® is that you may see results in as few as five days, and these results can last up to six months.

How Is Xeomin® Different From Botox®?

If we’re talking about results, they are similar. What makes Xeomin® a more attractive option to many people is the chemical formulation. Because it is void of the trace proteins that allow Botox® to bind to blood and tissue, Xeomin® has a bit more freedom to move around the muscles. The fact that it is a pure cosmetic also makes it appealing to folks wanting to sidestep unnecessary chemicals.

The real question most people want answered is whether or not one is better than the other. But there’s no cookie-cutter solution for anti-aging. This is why your custom skin care consultation is so important. Remember, one formula may work better for you; that doesn’t mean the other is inferior.

Before You Book

You may be one appointment away from looking and feeling your best. But there are a few things you should know before you call:

  • Xeomin can be used with other treatments. Xeomin won’t interfere with dermal fillers. In fact, many people choose to have both of these at the same time. Neurotoxins can also be used alongside facials, laser treatments, and your normal skin care product routine.
  • Side effects are minimal. Side effects of Xeomin® and Botox® are rare but can include minor bruising and swelling at the injection site.
  • Injectable neurotoxins are safe for most people. Unless you’re allergic to botulinum toxin or are pregnant, you might be a great candidate. Xeomin® is an especially smart choice if you want the purest possible product put into your face.
  • There’s no downtime. Perhaps the greatest benefit of Xeomin® and Botox® is that these involve no downtime. You can go right back to your life after your appointment, which takes as little as 10 to 20 minutes out of your day.
